Technology Features

  • The KDS system is competitive, and the operating expenses are affordable regardless of the application size
  • Being an auto-thermic system (no supplementary fuel required) contributes to low operating expenses
  • The system exceeds the destructive criteria of all carcinogenic bearing materials used in commerce and industry today.
  • The KDS does not require the use of a Quench Tank in our process. A Quench Tank is a water-filled tank used to cool smoldering incinerator residues and put out the fire in partially burned materials. The use of a Quench Tank requires millions of gallons of water in order to treat the residues and ash from conventional state of the art incinerators. Quench Tanks and waste water treatment adds tremendous costs to incineration.
  • It produces an inert ash discard void of any organic or nutritive value
  • By design, it is accessible to all community members. Its ergonomic layout provides all services required to accommodate any waste material normally presented for disposal
  • KDS units are modular in design so that two or more modules can be coupled to provide for a range of applications from small to very large
  • To enhance the range of service, the KDS system can provide mobility when required. Electrical co-generation equipment can be easily connected to our systems
  • KDS units can meet or exceed all applicable air emission regulations established by recognized regulatory agencies
  • Design concepts of the KDS make it the NEW state of the art technology
Although the Kearns Disintegrator is similar to existing SOTA ( State Of The Art ) incinerators in that both use pyrotechnics to achieve reduction of waste materials, that is where the similarities end. The Kearns Disintegration System requires no pre-treating or sorting of waste prior to induction into the system; in other words 100% of the waste presented enters the feed stream!
